Chalet Rasera is one of our guests' favourites - perfect for groups and families. Whether your priority is comfortable accommodation, proximity to the lifts or central location, Chalet Rasera is a great choice. It's right in the centre of the town, yet on a quiet side street, set in a large garden with plentiful car parking and garage. 5 spacious bedrooms plus a mezzanine allows for groups from 11 up to 15. In good snow conditions you can ski to within 50m of the chalet's door!
IN BRIEF, THE CHALET COMPRISES:
The chalet itself is spacious and welcoming, with a log fire as the central feature of the living / dining room, with comfy sofas and a large oak dining table. There's a TV (with UK Freeview and French Freeview), DVD, Free wi-fi, and stereo CD player. On the ground floor is a shower room and separate WC. The kitchen has full-size cooker, microwave, dishwasher, handblender, food mixer, toaster, kettle, and ample tableware for groups of up to 15. All linen, 2 pillows and 2 towels per person are provided.
FURTHER DETAIL ON THE ROOM LAYOUT: Up the main staircase are the largest bedrooms: 2 spacious triple bedrooms (each with king bed and single bed) with large balconies, a quad room (bunks plus 2 singles), and a large bathroom with bath & WC, and a shower room with WC. The chalet entrance hall also opens the upper annexe which sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 twin, and 1 mezzanine single), with its own bathroom (shower and WC). Please note we can also provide up to 2 cots and 2 high chairs on request.
Self-catered: Extra catering & cleaning services are available; for example you can book the chalet part-catered (from 1 night up to 7 nights), or have a dinner-delivery service, or a daily or twice-weekly clean. Contact us for details.
You can walk to all the resort facilities from the chalet. It's situated on a quiet one-way residential street - Taille de Mas Verjus. There's parking for up to 5 cars end-to-end in the driveway. The Pleney slopes, the French, International and British ski schools are all just a snowball's throw away, the Pleney telecabine and the ski hire shop are 2 minutes' walk, while the Super-Morzine lift (for piste access to Avoriaz) is just 5 minutes' walk from the chalet.
Please note that there is a ground floor self-contained flat under the same roof which is occupied by the elderly owner of the chalet (Mme Rasera) with a separate entrance.
IMPORTANT: DAMAGE DEPOSIT. We take a €300 Damage Deposit prior to your arrival. This can be paid via credit / debit card or bank transfer (Revolut preferred). We refund this deposit within 3 days of your departure. It is also possible to pay by French cheque. We will hold the Damage deposit until we have received the keys back and have been able to properly check the property. Please note the deposit rises to €500 for summer mountain biking groups and at our discretion.
*Additional Services Offered by Mountain Highs to all our guests*
Geneva Airport transfers: We operate our own airport transfer service in our licensed taxi minibus, which seats max 8 passengers in comfort with plenty of luggage space (VW Caravelle 4 x 4 long wheel base). We can offer shared transfers or private transfers, always door-to-door (unlike some transfer services who will drop you at the bus station!) – contact us for a competitive quote (Prices range from €95 per person return based on 4 travelling together, down to €66pp return for 8 travelling together) / €530 for a private transfer.
Lift pass purchase (Skiing or biking): We are able to arrange your lift passes in advance of your stay, so that they’re ready on your arrival at the apartment. We can take payment for these by credit card or bank transfer in advance, or cash on arrival in resort. We offer lower rates on area (Portes du Soleil) and local (Morzine - Les Gets) passes than you can buy in resort. For rates for your chosen stay, contact us.
Help with arranging child care or babysitting: we have contacts with the in-resort childcare companies and can make the initial enquiries for you. For ad-hoc babysitting we have a list of trusted contacts and can put you in touch with them after you have booked.
Start-up grocery shopping: for those arriving too late to be able to buy supplies on your first day, or if you’re arriving by airport transfer, if you contact us with your shopping list with 2 days’ advance notice, we can purchase and deliver your first days’ groceries for you, with a small charge of €20.
Full or part-catered service: we work with several highly recommended freelance caterers who can provide a combination of breakfasts, afternoon tea, daily cleaning, children's suppers and adults 3 or 4 course dinner with or without wine included, and also a dinner delivery service.

Bypass Les Gets (situated at 1200m), heading for Morzine-Avoriaz, and the road starts to descend slightly. From Les Gets its approx 6 km till you take a right at the roundabout as you come out of the forest, and you'll see the sign welcoming you to Morzine; the town lies down below you on the left hand side. Dropping down towards the town centre, bear right when you see the signpost for Avoriaz on the road forking off to the right (The Avenue de Joux Plane). Continue along for approx 300m, past FB Freeride ski hire shop on your right, then the ESF chalet on your left, and after the next big building on the left, (l’Olympique) turn left down a narrow lane (the Taille de Mas Verjus). The chalet is the first building on the left - a big white & brown building with balconies, set back from the road. (A slate sign next to the front door says "Chalet Pré la Dame" but the chalet is generally known by the owners' name, Rasera). Please park your cars in the driveway on the RH side of the chalet, as far down the drive as you can go, and once as far to the right as you can (to allow people with skis to walk past your cars and for deliveries to get past).
